In this world, a shaman believes in the spiritual world. A Shaman in the World of Warcraft Shaman is a warrior and could be a very powerful character, if played the best possible way. If you are thinking of choosing this character, then continue to read this guide on how to become a great WoW Shaman.

Finding a group that is in need of a Shaman or making sure that your own skills match well with this type of class is one of the most important things you should take a look at first before you start using the Shaman. Make sure that you join a group that needs a shaman. When in a group, their abilities are a must and and can contribute more strength to the whole group.

Getting Started as a Shaman

This class is limited when starting out, for example, only the Dranei can be a Shaman for the Alliance. For the Horde, the Shaman could be limited to Orc, Trolls, the Undead or Tauren. Although you must learn to accept some of these races’ weaker points, they too have strengths that can be rather useful in the long run.

Like many classes that lean more on spells or potions than the actual physical battle, you must learn here how to utilize your mana in the right way. It’s best to be moderate about it—not using too much or too little—to achieve more success in using this class. It is advised to use your mana in a medium scale, just when it is really needed. If not, you may either spend all of your time trying to regenerate, or rather risk losing valuable health points.

Learning healing spells is also quite important since Shamans are usually called upon to perform such spells especially within groups. Learn healing spells as much as you can since shamans are more useful in this area, especially in a group setting. Being an asset to your group is vital because you can draw protection from it.

How to pick a Shaman profession

Physically demanding professions ( blacksmith, leatherworker) are not ideal for this class. The best profession for Shamans are herbalism and enchanting. Skinning can be useful too, but only to a small degree. The important thing is to look for the right combination of primary and secondary professions.

The two recommended professions above are the best, but you could also opt to mix alchemy with herbalism or enchanting and alchemy. You can mix alchemy with herbalism and enchanting with alchemy. You can also try mining as a secondary profession, but this requires extra time away from your game.

If you wish to create money, mixing potions is by far the best business for a Shaman. It would be a good idea to focus most of your time mastering your professions as a Shaman as you may increase your skills and create better and more powerful concoctions that would not only earn you a larger amount of money, but also earn you more acclamation as well.

Although a tailoring profession can also be useful, most players like to purchase their own armor only when they need it. Leather armors are available for a reasonable price at Level 40 anyway. During the journey, pieces of armors are given away as rewards. So it would be a good idea to focus your attention on professions that work as a revenue stream and that gives earns you more skills for the grou.
