Enchanting is a most sought-after profession but consequently one of the most difficult to learn in World of Warcraft. However, it is definitely worth it because you will be constantly using these abilites. With this WoW Enchanting Guide, the aim is to learn more about Enchanting. Enchanting items by adding special attributes to them is not all what enchanters do. They also disenchant items, which comes in handy in several occasions in the game.

Even if enchanting is not for everyone, it is worth a shot to learn it if you think that somehow if could be useful for you. we’re here to make it very easy for you.

WoW Enchanting Guide: Getting Started

You need to find a trainer to get your apprenticeship. They’re going to be very easy to find because they’re readily available in larger cities. You’d also need a second profession, like tailoring, for example. Your options are pretty much open. You don’t need to pick a gathering-cased second profession like mining because you won’t need to do any gathering.

Now, you need an item to enchant and the recipe for enchanting it. Be reminded too, that if ever you think of disenchanting an item, you will consequently destroy it. Unfortunately, when you do this, there is no turning back your disenchantment, so use it wisely.

Enchanting

To start the actual process of enchanting, let’s work on an Enchant Bracer, which is worn on the wrist to deflect objects. You’re going to be needing strange dust and lesser magic essence for this recipe. If you still don’t have these items, purchase them from the auction house or from a vendor.

As soon as you get all your items ready, open the spellbook and go to your enchanting window. If you follow the instructions faithfully, there’s no doubt you’d get your first enchanted item for level 1. You would need to go on to get past 300.

Disenchanting

Disenchanting an item may be necessary at times so you can collect the special dusts and poweders that you need. To do this, open your spellbook and select disenchant. After doing this, select the item you want to disenchant by moving the mouse over to it. There is a possibility that it would take a few minutes to complete this, and you should always remember that this process is irreversible once started.

When you need to gather dust and other items for your enchanting recipes, disenchanting items is perhaps the easiest and most affordable manner to go. Here’s a quick guide to help you get the items you need:

Dust – Green Armor

Essence – Green Weapons

Shard – Blue Items

Nexus Crystal – Purple Items (up to 60)

Void Crystals – Purple Items (after level 60)

What to Do With Your Skill

Now that you know how to enchant items, you can now trade them with other players if you want to be social, or you can sell them. You may also sell your items to other players or have them auctioned at the auction house.
