Why Every Druid Needs a PvP Guide

Playing a Druid class character in World of Warcraft’s PvP (Player versus Player) combat offers many challenges and thrills, along with a lot of complexity. Druids are very tough to kill in the arena, and are unaffected by many of the crowd control techniques used by their opponents. With their varied abilities, including being able to heal, fight like a Warrior and even change forms, they can do it all in PvP. Unfortunately for you, that very versatility makes your Druid a prime target, and makes Druid PvP play very challenging.
One disadvantage of the Druid’s flexibility is that their best strategy for dealing with each opposing class is different. That means to get the absolute best out of your Druid (and why settle for anything less?) you need to master many PvP techniques. That’s work, but not impossible. And if you’ve got team mates, you will have to adapt your style of play to take into account their abilities too. You can do this on your own, but it takes a while to figure it all out by yourself.
Many players would agree that the Druid is usually the king of 2v2 arena play. Some would make a case for the Rogue, but the Druid adds the most depth and interest to 2-person teams. A well thought-out Druid with solid strategy and tactics can own its opponents in duels, and can be the leader of a high-end 2v2 arena team. These same attributes make Druids great additions to most 3v3 or 5v5 teams.
That’s the up side of using a Druid. But don’t forget that Druids have weaknesses too. If you’re going to succeed in PvP against the best players, you’ll need to understand your character’s weaknesses and be able to compensate for them. Your choice of gear goes far toward minimizing those weakenesses, once you know which gear is the right gear.
