WoW Fishing Guide for a Blissful Catch

The skill of fishing is a secondary ability in the World of Warcraft and with the aid of this WoW Fishing Guide gives additional understanding on this unique skill.  This ability is similar to other gathering skills such as herbalism, mining, and skinning animals.  The dynamism of this skill makes it more exciting as it is like the real-life angling.

In order to become a master angler it will take substantial time near bodies of water to build up the skill level.  The fish caught will provide useful effects such as to regain health or mana and useful in cooking recipes.  Other valuable times might be caught from the water that will help in the completion of quests.

To get started, see a fishing trainer near a lake or other bodies of water.  Gain knowledge of the basic fishing skill.  After completing the task, you can look for a fishing pole among merchants and vendors for your fishing expedition. Fishing in patch 3.1 no longer requires a minimum skill to fish in any zone.  Fishing zones are in Outland, North end, and Azeroth. All fishing casts with a catch will be rewarded with a chance for a skill level up.  However, if your skill level is too low for a fishing zone, chances are you will get junk items from the water. There are in-game scenarios such your fish could get away from your pole.  This will not gain any points for skill level.

The apprentice level fishing training allows for a higher success in gaining level up points in fishing skills.  The experience level of a WoW character will have no effect on skill to do the fishing profession. According to WoW Fishing Guide, patch 3.1 does not need to purchase expert and master books as well as complete the artisan quest.  Artisan (max 300) level up is learned from any fishing trainer.  Trainers located in Outland and North end can train master fishing (max 375). Trainers in North end can teach grand master fishing (max 450)

Several types of fish may be caught during a particular time of the day or season.  Nocturnal (night) fish can be caught starting at 6 PM until 12 AM, while Diurnal (day) fish appears from 6 AM to 12 PM. Nightfin snappers are nocturnal fish, while the sunscale salmon commonly appears during daytime. Other fishes such as Stone scale eels and plated armor fish are caught anytime of the day.

WoW Fishing Guide lists items that will enhance the fishing skills of a WoW character.  A Blump Family Fishing Pole gives +3 skill bonuses while an Arcanite Fishing Pole has a +40 bonus. Hordes can use Nat Pagle’s Extreme Angler FC-5000 which gives an additional +25 bonus.  Other items such as fishing line provide permanent enchantment.  Lures, such as glowworms, can provide additional bonus of +100 that lasts for at least an hour of use. There are also fishing apparels and its enchantment variants available from merchants and fishing suppliers.

There are several fishing quests to play which rewards different kinds of fish for cooking recipes and other items.

WoW players can use some of their individual skills to improve their fishing kills.  Shamans can use their water walking abilities to look for a better and secured fishing spots.  Priests can drift over water that makes them easy to spot good fishing location.  Other characters can use their other skills that can enhance their level up on fishing skill.

Fishing in WoW can be a lot of fun with the aid of a WoW Fishing Guide.
