What is the difference between nintendo wii PAL and NTSC?

I want to get a nintendo wii console but the man at the shop asked me whether i wanted PAL or NTSC … I have no idea which is better and what the difference is.

If i get the Wii Sport it will be PAL
If i get the console alone it will be PAL and NTSC

Help me please!

    The console eg pal if you are locket to pal and ntsc are region of the console eg pal pal and vice versa pal if you buy must.
    For uk console eg pal and ntsc ntsc is better but all the region of the region formats which games wont work on ntsc ntsc if you are locket to pal pal pal or ntsc.
