Is the nintendo wii suppose to feature online play?

I’m thinking of to get either a nintendo wii or a ps3. Except the only problem is that I dont know if the wii is gonna have online play. So does anyone know?

    Next year Mario Kart comes out i think

    so next summer we could have mario kart online

    if so, still have a problem ? haha dont think so what a game

    I just got a new wii today and yes it has internet but i dont know how to hook it up

    Yes. Here’s a list of games that will have online play:

    Mario Strikers Charged
    Pokemon Battle Arena
    Super Smash Bros Brawl
    Animal Crossing
    Guitar Hero III
    Geometry Wars
    Metroid Prime 3

    Note that these games aren’t available yet, but are supposed to be released by the end of 2007.
