Ability to Disenchant

Ability to Disenchant is acquired as soon as you learn Enchanting as your primary profession. You will be able to use this skill to disenchant any piece of uncommon, rare or epic items which you no longer need and get precious essences, dust and shards out of them. These end products are used again to enchant other items to wear desired statistics and their value is considerably high, which will bring you a nice profit if you decide to sell them on the Auction House.

Gear comes and goes. As you level, you will try out a great number of gear sets, the trend which will continue even when you reach the level 80. With the new dungeons and raids, new tier sets, etc. your need for improvement will just grow. Every time you get a better item, it will render the old one useless, and you will be able either to sell it to a vendor for some poor amount, or to disenchant it. By disenchanting your old gear you will benefit much more.

Enchanting assets

As mentioned above, Enchanting is used to enhance your char’s stats. Still, there are benefits available to Enchanters only, such as ring enchants. You will be able to enchant your own rings to wear the desired statistics depending on your class’ needs and only the Enchanter will be able to have his rings enchanted. It is especially useful for healing and dps classes, and there is a great number of players who decide to level up Enchanting for the ring enchants solely.

What does Enchanting require?

A future Enchanter firstly needs a trainer from whom he will learn the skills. Enchanting trainers can be found in all the major cities around Azeroth as well as in Outland and Northrend. The next thing is an Enchanting Rod. Different skill levels require different Enchanting Rods. These rods he will be able to make himself even though he will need a help of a Blacksmith to make him a specific metal rod such as Arcanite rod, Fel Iron rod, Adamantite rod, Titanium rod, etc.

Getting the needed materials

Enchanter can gather all the mats he needs for leveling up of this profession by disenchanting various items. However, in order to get to uncommon or rare items you will need to grind or to buy them on the Auction House. This comes are very time-taking and expensive. Pairing up with Tailoring is the best solution for Enchanters. Tailoring requires a lot of cloth for crafting the final products. Still, cloth is extremely easy to gather, making these professions combination an ideal solution for easier leveling.

Is Enchanting Profitable?

Enchanting will easily bring you a lot of profit, simply by offering your skills for sale or by selling products of disenchanting. If you plan to collect fees, higher enchanting skills will enable you to demand higher fees for your services. Profit from disenchanting will be easy and assured, as other players are always in need for the materials to be able to enchant their own items.
